It’s not a gay thing, it’s not a straight thing,
it’s not a color thing, it’s a God thing.

It seems with every bloody trail of suffering and death there is always
someone who has misinterpreted the Bible. The word of God has been
misused to defend bloody crusades, support slavery and segregation,
and to persecute Jews and others whose beliefs were not quite the
same. This same word was used to support Hitler in the Holocaust, to
forbid interracial marriages. And to support the Ku Klux Klan
The amazing thing is that most of us grew up not speaking of gay
unless we meant happy. We (the GLBT community) came from the
straight community (heterosexuals). We grew up in your churches!
Babysat your children! Checked your mail when you were out of town!
And spent the night at your house or perhaps we even lived there.
Maybe we were your child, raised just like all of our other siblings, but
somehow we turned out differently. We heard the same preachers,
pastors, and clergy! And yet still knew we were different. Now we are
pastors, teachers, pharmacists, artists! Nurses, doctors, students,
customer service representatives, and every other professional known
to man. You may not know it, but we are in your life, so let me share with
you what God has for us in our future.
JEREMIAH 1:
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Before you were born I
set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
ACTS 2:
17 “In the last days, God says, “I will pour out my spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and
women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.”

Many people who just happen to be gay are serving the Lord Jesus with
all their hearts, minds, and soul. Many more are coming to Him. He is
drawing a people who are not a people. I believe end day revival starts
with a people like us.
All of us, especially church- raised, have begged God to change us.
Nobody wants to be the black sheep of the family, or to be picked on or
made fun of just because we have fallen in love with someone of the
same sex. We have sought Jesus more on this issue than any
theological professor. Teacher, or pastor ever could have. It is our life. It
would be like telling a professional bass fisherman how to throw the
line. It’s his line.
When I was asking God for a word on this He said, “You never question
your sexuality when you are in my presence”, so in His presence I will
stay. His word is greater than any preacher, any disciple, or any set of
parents or grandparents. The question is can two people of the same
gender live in a committed, loving relationship with God’s blessing on
their lives? Can gay people actually have an intimate relationship with
the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Jesus? I believe that you can
know He is the Lover of your
soul.
GENESIS 19:1-28 - Sodom and Gomorrah
I believe that we have all heard this story, but have you read if for
yourselves? I would also encourage you to read EZEKIEL 16:48-50 as it
lists exactly what the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah were. The story
actually teaches what we are not to be’ We are not to be rapists, prideful,
or uncaring of the poor and needy. I believe that God has clearly shown
us that a Sodomite can first be anyone who is born in Sodom, and
secondly anyone who is prideful, anyone who has plenty and refused to
share, or anyone who is wicked enough to want to rape anyone out of
hate. Before you read these verses for yourself, ask the Holy Spirit to
remove any preconceived idea or judgments you have within you. When
you think about a whole town being homosexual, it can’t possibly seem
real to you. There was no in vitro fertilization, so how could children be
born in this town, and why would God destroy it? It’s the same reason
He destroyed Lot’s wife by turning her into a pillar of salt - disobedience
plain and simple.
